Job summary

Food City in Clintwood, VA is seeking a store associate to deliver friendly customer service and support daily operations. You will assist with stocking, checkout, and general department upkeep to ensure freshness and quality.

The role emphasizes a positive, customer-first environment with regular on-site shifts and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
• Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and courteous customer service to support the store mission to Run the Best Store in Town.
• Maintain a positive attitude; create an atmosphere of friendliness and fun through teamwork.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service with a customer-first initiative.
• Assist produce manager in ordering, receiving, and displaying all products for processing.
• Rotate all merchandise while stocking to ensure freshness and quality.
• Keep department clean according to company standards.
• Assist in unloading trucks and breaking down product.
• Prepare pineapples and other tasks as needed.
• Follow the company food safety program.
• Keep workstation neat and clean and sanitize the area at least twice daily.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to attendance policies.

• Generate a positive, friendly, and fun working environment with a customer first initiative by greeting and speaking to customers, provide prompt, courteous, and efficient customer service.
• Assist produce manager in ordering, receiving, and displaying all product for processing

• Clean department according to company standards
• Shock all green leaf vegetables
• Assist in unloading trucks and breaking down product
• Core pineapples
• Follow the company food safety program
• Keep workstation and area around workstation neat and clean
• Department is to be sanitized and cleaned at least twice a day
• Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
