Job summary

Puget Consumers Co-op in Seattle is hiring Grocery/Produce Helper Clerks to deliver outstanding customer service while stocking, rotating and merchandising groceries, dairy, frozen and bulk items. You will maintain clean, organized aisles, build attractive produce displays, and assist customers with special orders and carryout as needed.

The role requires reliability, ability to work evenings/weekends, and the physical stamina to lift 10–40 lbs. A WA Food Worker Card is required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Available to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to meet physical demands (standing, bending, lifting 10-40 lbs).
• Food Worker Card from WA State required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service.
• Stock and rotate all grocery, dairy, frozen and bulk products.
• Face grocery, dairy and frozen aisles.
• Maintain organization and order of back-stock products.
• Build and maintain produce displays and rotate produce in back stock and sales floor.
• Update price changes and signage.
• Ensure department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards.
• Operate all equipment per PCC standards.
• May bag groceries and provide carryout.
• Serve as go-to for special orders and grocery questions.
• Work DSD orders when assigned.
