Weis Markets is seeking a team member for the Produce Department at our Lebanon, MO location. The role focuses on keeping the produce area well stocked, clean, and attractive, while providing friendly service to customers.

You will handle tasks like restocking, pricing with signage, maintaining the salad bar, and supporting displays. Training is provided, and adherence to health and safety standards is required.

Competenze

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.

Mansioni

• Keeps produce department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demands.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions, handles requests such as filling orders for fruit baskets and resolves customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, cleans and trims produce, stocks area with new merchandise.
• Rotates stock to ensure freshness and proper shelf life.
• Ensures product has been properly priced with correct signage.
• Maintains salad bar and cut fruit/vegetable as needed.
• Assists in building attractive displays.
• Accurately completes necessary product logs.
• Handles spoiled and damaged product, new items and discontinued items according to company policy.
• Responsible for general sanitation in the department.
• Follows cleaning schedules and department guidelines to keep work areas clean and OSHA compliant.
• Disposes of trash properly.
• Assists in minimizing shrink and controlling damages.
• Reports shortages and overages to manager.
• Training provided.
• May assist with baling cardboard and related duties.
• Ensures smooth function of department and store by cooperating with coworkers and superiors.
• Responsible for continuous improvement in job performance.
• Uses PPE provided by the company.
