Job summary

Puget Consumers Co-op is seeking a Produce Clerk in Bellevue, WA to deliver excellent customer service and manage displays, stock rotation, and invoice processing. The role requires physical work and weekend availability, with a focus on safety and cleanliness throughout the department.

Responsibilities include updating signage, processing vendor credits, and supporting the produce coordinator in ordering. A Washington Food Worker Card and readiness to work varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to perform excellent, professional customer service.
• Must have excellent leadership, organizational, multitasking and communication skills.
• Available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• Previous retail experience desired and background in produce preferred.
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion and lifting 10–40lbs regularly.
• A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, professional customer service
• Build and maintain produce displays and rotate produce in back stock and sales floor
• Receive produce orders, arrange credits from vendors and process invoices
• Update price changes and signage
• May assist produce coordinator in writing orders and handling other produce department tasks
• Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
• Operates all equipment in accordance with PCC standards
