Implement all company and division policies to achieve maximum sales and profits in the produce departments. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop maximum customer relations by produce department personnel through personal example of friendliness and courtesy, and implementation of all company policies.
  2. Assist in store security and handle customer complaints.
  3. Participate in hiring, firing, disciplining, demoting, transferring, and evaluating produce department personnel.
  4. Ensure proper indoctrination of all department employees, including reading scales and prices correctly.
  5. Train staff on price marking, customer courtesy, and productivity.
  6. Supervise salad bar operations.
  7. Coordinate with store manager to schedule staff for maximum efficiency.
  8. Maintain a neat and professional appearance of departmental staff.
  9. Maintain good communication with all store personnel.
  10. Plan, organize, direct, and control produce department activities; may oversee store operations in the absence of the store manager.
  11. Manage receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of produce.
  12. Order supplies to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  13. Maintain records and reports effectively.
  14. Ensure cleanliness and proper waste disposal in all areas.
  15. Keep supplies on hand, including bags and pricing equipment.
  16. Continuously analyze and improve department operations.
  17. Promote and communicate company initiatives positively.
  18. Interact professionally and courteously at all times.
  19. Manage people and organize workloads efficiently.
  20. Perform additional duties as assigned.
  21. Work well in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  22. Handle conflicts tactfully and cooperatively.
  23. Maintain honesty and integrity with customer and business information.
  24. Follow directions and seek help when needed.
  25. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  26. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications:
