Job summary

Ridley’s Family Markets is seeking a Produce Department team member who will focus on delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining an organized, efficient produce area.

The role requires basic math, the ability to lift up to 50 lb, and strong teamwork. Certifications for forklift/pallet jack are preferred; food handler permits may be required. No experience is necessary, and you will be trained on-site.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Basic math skills including money, weight, and volume.
• Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand spoken word.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit and develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
• Promote a high level of morale within department and store through open communication.
• Comply with company policies and the Code of Conduct.
• Cost out all material to determine proper retails.
• Teach fundamentals of produce production (slicing, peeling, stacking, organizing, washing, finishing).
• Assist in maintaining department security per policy.
• Monitor competitive activity and protect company interests.
• Maintain department records.
