Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Produce Department Manager for our Kirkland, WA location. You will oversee all aspects of the department, including staffing, merchandising, pricing, and customer service, ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.

You will supervise department personnel, coordinate schedules for full- and part-time staff, and work to maintain optimal inventory, cleanliness, and service levels in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Must supervise and develop produce department staff.
• Strong focus on customer service and safe, accurate pricing.
• Able to schedule and manage both full- and part-time employees.
• Experience with store operations and merchandising in a grocery setting.
• Knowledge of price marking and product rotation.
• Aptitude for identifying cost controls and efficiency improvements.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations by produce department staff through friendly service.
• Supervise all aspects of salad bar operations.
• Direct receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of produce products.
• Ensure proper stock levels and efficient order processes.
• Plan and optimize work schedules for staff to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain clean, well-organized department areas and uniforms.
