Responsibilities include supervising receiving, stocking, and merchandising, implementing promotions, handling customer concerns with courtesy, and partnering with store leadership to optimize efficiency

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
• Understanding of department operations: managing people, merchandising, computer assisted ordering, inventory management.
• Strong communication with employees and supervision; able to react quickly to changing priorities.
• Effective written and oral communication skills and decision making under pressure.
• Produce work experience or similar experience in food preparation.
• Past work record reflects dependability and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations by produce department personnel through personal example of friendliness and courtesy, and implementation of all company polices.
• Be alert and assist in store security.
• Be perceptive and handle customer complaints.
• Direct the receiving, storing, pricing, and merchandising of all produce products.
• Plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of the produce department, and may take charge of the store operation in the absence of the store manager.
• Maintain orderly, clean appearance and uniformity of department staff; ensure proper pricing and display.
• Supervise salad bar operations and implement efficient work schedules for full and part-time staff.
• Analyze inventory, space allocation, display and rotation; recommend changes to store manager.
• Ensure adequate stock by proper ordering and maintain records and reports.
• Promote company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive manner.
