Job summary

Hannaford Scarborough ME is seeking a Produce Lead to step in when managers are unavailable, oversee department operations, maintain safety and sanitation standards, and train associates. You will use store systems for planning, scheduling, and inventory control to support daily objectives.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and direct others.
• Retail Produce experience preferred.
• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to comply with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead department operations in absence of the department manager and assistant department manager.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Use store systems for planning, scheduling, CAO and RF Unit.
• Maintain fairness, dignity and respect among coworkers.
• Meet or exceed Management Planning guidelines.
• Develop product knowledge for produce.
• Assist in training associates when assigned.
• Maintain neat personal appearance per policy.
• Maintain solid communication within department and organization.
• Support safety standards and report needed repairs or hazards.
• Observe sanitation and food safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
