Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
• Orders product according to established guidelines.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and guidelines.
• Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for produce department personnel.
• Follows established guidelines in all personnel issues (interviews, hiring, training, evaluations, discipline).
• Completes required forms, records, and reports; verifies receipts.
• Prepares weekly work schedules.
• Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
• Labels items with correct selling price using pricing/label gun.
• Rotates merchandise according to shelf life and expiration dates.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using cleaning equipment.
• Operates tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ensure coolers and cases maintain appropriate temperatures.
• Work in temperature extremes (produce cooler max low 32 degrees).
• Stand and/or walk at a rapid pace for extended periods.
