The candidate will supervise 6-8 staff in the Produce Department during the manager’s absence, assist with pricing, stocking, ordering, and maintaining safety and sanitation across the department.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED with 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining supply and payroll expenses, inventory and waste.
• Assist with pricing, ordering, and stocking of produce.
• Ensure quality, freshness, and proper rotation of produce.
• Direct the stocking, display and rotation of produce for eye appeal.
• Maintain department sanitation and cooperate with other departments.
