Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager in Towson, MD to support daily operations of the Produce department. You will help with merchandising, scheduling, inventory control, and ensuring product freshness and quality while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires leadership experience in retail or supermarket environments, with training provided and opportunities for growth within the company. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations and resolves issues promptly in a polite and professional manner.
• Assists Produce Manager in day-to-day operations including merchandising, ad execution, associate engagement and customer service.
• Oversees inventories by tracking weekly sales reports, product orders and supplies.
• Maintains backroom organization and product storage within company guidelines.
• Ensures accurate product handling, pricing, and freshness; rotates stock as needed.
