Job summary

Miles Farmers Market is hiring a Produce Department Associate to join a busy, hands-on team in the produce department. You will help prepare, stock, and merchandise fresh fruits and vegetables, ensuring quality and cleanliness for customers.

This role requires standing, light lifting, and a positive, customer-focused attitude. We offer weekend availability and opportunities for overtime and advancement in a family-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and customer-focused.
• Able to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Experience in produce, grocery, or food service is a plus—training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and trim fresh produce to maintain quality and appearance.

• Stock and rotate product on shelves and displays to stay fresh.

Job Description

This is a physical, fast-paced job where you’ll also help customers with questions and make sure the department stays clean, organized, and fully stocked.

Duties Include

• Cleaning and trimming fresh produce
• Weighing, wrapping, and packaging fruits and vegetables
• Stocking and rotating product on shelves and displays
• Setting up and maintaining attractive merchandising
• Assisting customers with product questions and selections
• Keeping work areas clean and sanitized
• Following food safety and handling procedures

Schedule & Pay

• Full-time and part-time positions available
• Must be available on weekends and some holidays (We’re closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day & Easter; shortened hours on summer holidays)
• Starting wage: $13.00/hr up to $15.00/hr, based on experience
• Opportunities for overtime and advancement
