Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Produce Department Team Member to support preparation and merchandising while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers. You will help maintain product quality and contribute to a positive shopping experience in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Training and team collaboration are emphasized to uphold health, safety, and sanitation

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables following safety rules.
• Ensures product meets WFM quality and preparation guidelines.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Keeps department clean and maintains logs.
• Arrives on time, well groomed, and ready to work.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintains clean and safe working/shopping areas; ensures signage accuracy.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; reports hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
