Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking an enthusiastic team member to create an outstanding customer experience through friendly, knowledgeable service.

You will help maintain a clean, safe store environment, assist with department goals, and promote products to customers while following safety and company policies. Responsibilities include assisting with produce prep, stocking, and inventory, answering customer questions, and staying current on promotions and specials.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit once employed.
• Comparable Retail experience is a plus (desirable).
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers and answering questions about products.
• Promote corporate brands to customers and maintain a welcoming store environment.
• Assist with produce preparation, labeling, and inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards; monitor temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Report discrepancies and safety concerns to store management.
• Support department managers to achieve sales and profit goals.
• Assist with product stocking, rotation, and merchandising to ensure freshness.
• Handle customer inquiries and make product recommendations.
