Job summary

Tony's Fresh Market, LLC in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Produce Clerk to help customers, stock produce, and ensure a wide selection of high-quality items. You will ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitize areas as part of daily duties.

You will greet customers, maintain displays, process deliveries, and uphold merchandising standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Competitive hourly pay is offered within the stated range.

• Comply with Company policies on freshness dating and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean work areas by consolidating and organizing the product.Basic department cleaning upkeep.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.
• Organize items on shelves, remove expired products from displays, and assist shoppers in their daily needs.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Produce Clerk, you will provide product suggestions and assist customers with any questions. You will stock cases and ensure that our customers have a variety of high-quality produce items to choose from. You will ensure complete compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements throughout your daily work. You will clean and sanitize produce department areas, preparation areas, and equipment periodically.

• The work environment is typical of a retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
• The Produce department is cooler than most areas in the store so must adapt and be comfortable in a cooler-than-normal temperature environment.
• Minimal sitting is required.

Pay scale $15.00-$20.10
The pay scale above is the hourly wage range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position.
*Manager roles have a bonus target potential paid out quarterly based on company results/metrics.

Within this range, individual pay is determined by location and other factors including,
but not limited to, specific skills, relevant work experience, and relevant education and/or training.
