Position Objective: To assist customers in their shopping experience by providing them with fresh, high-quality produce in a friendly and courteous manner.

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Produce Manager.

Status: Non-exempt position.

Knowledge

The following are certification, education, or training requirements:

• A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
• Completion of ongoing training as per the Cosentino Learning Plan.

Skills

Basic skills required include:

• Implementing Cosentino Customer Service Standards.
• Preparing, packaging, and displaying produce neatly.
• Inspecting products for freshness and damage, using proper rotation.
• Operating, cleaning, and maintaining equipment safely.
• Meeting productivity standards.
• Removing damaged or unsaleable products and following damage claim procedures.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Unloading, sorting, and stocking shipments carefully.
• Labeling merchandise and knowing how to obtain price signs.
• Being knowledgeable about products, policies, and procedures.
• Handling customer complaints professionally and involving management when necessary.
