Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

• Model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
• Promote corporate brands to customers
• Foster trust and respect among associates
• Create a welcoming environment, answer questions about products, and make suggestions
• Maintain knowledge of products and assist customers accordingly
• Assist with produce platters/trays preparation
• Inform customers of produce specials
• Recommend products to customers based on their needs
• Prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
• Inspect products for quality and freshness, and take appropriate actions
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
• Display a positive attitude
• Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep temperature logs
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions and accidents
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed
• Report safety risks, illegal activities, or emergencies
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts calmly
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed
