Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets is hiring a Produce Clerk to support the Produce Manager in daily operations. You will present a professional appearance, ensure accurate weighing, labeling, and display of produce, and help maintain high customer service standards at all times.

Responsibilities include restocking, product rotation, receiving, and accurate signage while complying with safety and sanitation policies. The role requires 18+ years of age and readiness to lift up to 80 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and taste or smell.
• Must be able to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages.
• Must be able to lift, bend, and twist with up to 80 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Restock counters on sales floor, pull any poor quality produce
• Responsible for proper rotating of product

• Comply fully with all safety policies and procedures
• Adhere to Customer Service Pledge at all times
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and comply with Dress Code policy

Job Description

The Produce Clerk is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Produce Manager and/or Assistant Produce Manager for the successful operation of the Produce Department. It is essential that as a Produce Clerk, you will present yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing your defined responsibilities. You are responsible for always maintaining our high standards of Customer Service. Other duties may be assigned as required, depending upon the available time, business volume and other criteria as determined by your appropriate supervisors and/or Gerrity’s Supermarkets. Full compliance with current and future policies will be required to ensure that your work contribution is in the best interest of Gerrity’s Supermarkets.
