Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Produce Clerk to assist with inventory counts, prepare produce for display by trimming, washing, banding and wrapping produce goods, and build and maintain product displays. You will monitor temperatures in coolers and cases, unload trucks, and organize inventory.

A High School Diploma or GED is required, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus; prior produce or supermarket experience is helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED equivalent required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Previous experience in produce departments/supermarkets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure freshness and quality through rotation of product.
• Inventory merchandise on hand.
• Set-up and maintain all displays.
• Assist manager in maintaining pricing and signage.
• Maintain neat and orderly coolers.
• Cut fruits and vegetables to be sold in packages.
• Unload trucks and organize inventory.
