Job summary

El Super #18 in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Produce Clerk to support the Produce Department under the Produce Manager. The role involves customer service, maintaining fresh produce displays, and rotating stock, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service. Assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the perishable (produce) displays.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
