Job summary

WinCo Foods is seeking a store associate to maintain department conditions and provide friendly customer service. You will assist customers, verify shipments, and help with pricing and merchandising to ensure freshness and quality.

Shifts are 6–8 hours, including early mornings and evenings in a 24/7 operation. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Qualifications

• Performing basic math and compute weights and measures.
• Ability to work varied shifts in a 24/7 operation including night, weekends and holidays.
• Conduct visual inspection of product, display, read written material, etc.
• Communicate in writing to others.
• Reach, lift and maneuver objects up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• Push and pull fully loaded handtrucks and pallet jacks.
• Stand for long periods of time, walk and move rapidly, bend, twist and turn frequently.
• Learn proper handling, preparation, seasonality, and perishability, product safety, sanitation procedures and department policies.
• Wear hats, hairnets, gloves, and other personal protective equipment as required.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Perform primary duties efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes, engages, serves and thanks customers while maintaining an atmosphere of friendly service.
• Assist customers by locating items, expediting returns or refunds, and addressing concerns.
• Perform receiving duties including verifying orders against invoices and reporting shortages.
• Maintain freshness and quality of goods through proper handling, rotation, and merchandising.
• Keep work, storage, and selling areas clean and organized and ensure safe/secure environment.
