Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit once employed.
• Second language ability (speaking, reading and/or writing) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards.
• Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and deliver excellent customer service.
• Answer questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take action as needed.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs.
• Report safety risks or incidents to store management and assist in safety procedures.
