The role emphasizes friendly customer service, teamwork, and the ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining accuracy in transactions and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and team.
• Basic math for transactions and inventory checks.
• Current food handlers permit required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Role model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist and appreciate our Customers.
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers
• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations
• Assist with the preparation produce platters/trays
• Inform customers of produce specials
• Recommend items to meet customer needs
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Display a positive attitude
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues
• Notify management of accidents
• Report safety risks or illegal activity to store management
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and stressful environments
• Ability to manage conflict professionally
• Integrity in handling customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues
• Provide support with interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
