Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking staff to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced grocery environment. You will assist department managers, promote brands, and help customers with product selections while maintaining clean, safe store conditions.

Responsibilities include stocking, labeling, inventory, and adhering to safety procedures. Prior experience in retail and a second language are a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
• Current food handlers permit once employed

Responsibilities

• Role model the 3A’s of Friendly and promote brand knowledge.
• Promote corporate brands to customers.
• Create a welcoming environment and answer questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions and suggestions.
• Assist with produce platters/trays and inform customers of specials.
• Recommend items to ensure customers get what they want and need.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with ads and safety logs.
