Job summary

The Kroger Co. is hiring at our Spring Hill store to deliver outstanding customer service in the produce department. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and quality goals while maintaining a safe, clean environment for customers and associates alike.

You'll promote Kroger brands, answer questions about products, prepare and stock displays, and help with produce freshness and inventory. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential to help guests feel welcome and valued.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals.
• Promote Kroger brands to customers and maintain knowledge of products.
• Answer questions about products and respond with suitable suggestions.
• Prepare, package, label and inventory department merchandise; maintain produce freshness and temperature logs.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; report discrepancies to the department manager.
