Job summary

Tony's Fresh Market is seeking a Produce Clerk to assist customers, stock produce, and ensure food safety and cleanliness in the produce department. You will greet customers, answer questions, and maintain attractive displays.

Hours are flexible with a preference for full-time coverage and a schedule that includes mornings and evenings. The role requires physical endurance to lift and move products in a retail setting.

• Highly organized with a keen sense of details.
• Great listening and communication skills.
• Can handle lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting while handling products or using various equipment.
• Ability to shine in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and building rapport with customers.
• Display a friendly and outgoing attitude through good eye contact and body language.
• Respond to customer questions in an effective manner.
• Stock products and maintain product displays according to merchandising standards.
• Process deliveries, breaking load down onto stock carts or pallets and then transferring to the sales floor.
• Comply with Company policies on freshness dating and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean work areas by consolidating and organizing the product.Basic department cleaning upkeep.
• Follow safety and sanitation procedures to ensure quality service and products for our customers.
• Organize items on shelves, remove expired products from displays, and assist shoppers in their daily needs.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.
