Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Cypress, TX is seeking a Produce Clerk to assist customers with produce selection, maintain attractive displays, and ensure a clean, safe department.

Ideal candidates are bilingual (English/Spanish), capable of lifting up to 60 pounds, and comfortable working under the Produce Manager to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with customers and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Explain information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but simple instructions.
• Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Basic PC/Outlook skills (extra).
• Retail Management Certificate (extra).

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with produce selection.
• Clean, fill, and rotate produce displays.
• Maintain a safe and organized produce section.
• Lift up to 60 pounds, bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods as required.
• Under direct supervision of the Produce Manager.
