Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Irving, Texas is seeking a Produce Clerk to assist customers and keep the produce displays clean, rotated and well stocked. Under direct supervision of the Produce Manager, you will help customers, maintain displays, and ensure quality and freshness.

Ideal candidates read and write Spanish/English, can lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced grocery environment. This position offers opportunities in a diverse community and a team-oriented store setting.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred for customer interactions.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook for daily tasks.
• Retail management certificate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with needs and questions.
• Clean, fill and rotate perishable produce displays.
• Report out-of-stock items and maintain display standards.
• Lift and move up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service. Assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the perishable (produce) displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
