Fiesta Mart in Houston, TX is seeking a Produce Clerk for Store 004 Houston-Spencer Hwy. You’ll support customers by answering questions, stocking produce, and keeping displays fresh.

Under direct supervision of the Produce Manager, you’ll handle perishable items, rotate stock, and maintain cleanliness. This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a busy grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with customers and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and employees.
• Lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly, 45 pounds frequently, and 60 pounds occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Fill and rotate produce displays and restock items.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision of Produce Manager, the Produce Clerk provides customer service. Assists customers, cleans, fills and rotates the perishable (produce) displays. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods. The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.
