Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Current food handler's permit upon employment
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Relevant retail experience
- Second language skills (speaking, reading, or writing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
- Promote corporate brands and foster trust and respect among colleagues
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions and providing product suggestions
- Maintain knowledge of products, assist with produce platters/trays, and inform customers of specials
- Recommend products to meet customer needs, prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
- Ensure product quality and freshness, and maintain proper storage temperatures with logs
- Report discrepancies, safety issues, and accidents promptly to management
- Practice safety and preventive maintenance, and report any equipment issues
- Comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions, illegal activities, or security risks
