Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Current food handler's permit upon employment
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Comparable retail experience
- Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
Key Responsibilities:
- Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
- Promote corporate brands and build trust among customers and associates
- Create a welcoming environment, answering questions and making product suggestions
- Assist with preparing produce platters/trays and inform customers of specials
- Recommend products to meet customer needs
- Properly prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
- Inspect products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate action
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping
- Maintain a positive attitude and stay current with promotions
- Ensure proper temperature controls and logs are maintained
- Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report accidents
- Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
- Report safety risks, illegal activities, and incidents to management
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
