Job summary

Kroger in Redmond is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced department. You will help customers, answer questions about products, and promote store brands while keeping the environment safe and welcoming.

You will stock, label, and inventory department merchandise, stay informed about specials, assist with produce prep, and support the department manager to meet sales goals, while upholding Kroger values of respect and integrity.

• Recommend items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need
• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action with those items

• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager

• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions and notify store management
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud to store management
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
