Responsibilities
- Model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate our Customers.
- Promote Corporate Brands to customers.
- Promote trust and respect among associates.
- Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products and ensuring customers feel valued.
- Gain and maintain knowledge of products to assist and make suggestions to customers.
- Assist with preparing produce platters/trays.
- Inform customers of produce specials.
- Recommend items to ensure customer needs are met.
- Properly prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise.
- Inspect products for quality and freshness, and take appropriate action.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Stay current with promotions, seasonal, and special ads.
- Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
- Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
- Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
- Report accidents and safety risks, including illegal activity.
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
- Manage conflicts cooperatively and reasonably.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Current food handler’s permit upon employment.

- Retail experience.
- Second language skills (speaking, reading, writing).
