Responsibilities

- Promote Corporate Brands to customers.
- Build trust and respect among associates.
- Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products sold within the department and store.
- Gain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
- Assist with preparing produce platters/trays.
- Inform customers of produce specials.
- Recommend products to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise.
- Inspect products for quality and freshness, and take appropriate action.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and ads.
- Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
- Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report hazards.
- Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
- Report customer or employee accidents and safety issues.
- Handle stressful situations and manage conflicts professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications
Minimum:
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
- Current food handler’s permit upon employment.
Preferred:
- Retail experience.
- Second language proficiency.
