Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver exceptional service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will support the department manager in hitting sales goals, be knowledgeable about products, and assist with produce platters and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Assist department manager to reach sales and profit goals.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and answer questions.
• Know products in the department and respond to inquiries with recommendations.
• Assist with preparing produce platters and trays.
• Inform customers of produce specials and promotions.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain proper temperatures and temperature logs in cases and coolers.
• Reinforce safety procedures and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Report accidents and safety risks to store management.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
