Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math knowledge (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Current food handler's permit upon employment
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Retail experience
- Second language skills (speaking, reading, or writing)
Responsibilities include:
- Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
- Promote corporate brands and foster trust and respect among associates
- Create a welcoming environment, answer product questions, and make suggestions
- Prepare produce platters/trays and inform customers of specials
- Recommend products and ensure proper packaging, labeling, and inventory management
- Maintain product quality and freshness, and report discrepancies
- Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads and promotions
- Ensure proper cooler temperatures and maintain safety and sanitation standards
- Report safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed
