Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
- Current food handler’s permit upon employment
Desired Previous Job Experience:
- Retail experience
- Second language skills (speaking, reading, or writing)
Responsibilities include:
- Model the 3A's of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate customers
- Promote corporate brands and build trust among associates
- Create a welcoming environment by answering questions and making product suggestions
- Maintain product knowledge and assist with preparing produce platters/trays
- Inform customers of specials and recommend products
- Prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
- Inspect products for quality and freshness, and take appropriate action
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
- Report discrepancies and safety issues
- Maintain proper temperatures and safety procedures
- Inspect equipment and report repairs
- Support customer and employee safety and report incidents
- Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts effectively
- Act with honesty and integrity, follow directions, and support customers with special needs
