Job summary

Rosauers Supermarkets Inc. is seeking a Produce Clerk to welcome customers, assist with locating produce, and maintain fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs. You will prepare, package, and display products, ensure quality, rotate stock, and support a positive shopping experience.

The role emphasizes customer service, organization, safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced produce department; prior produce experience is preferred and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be 18+ years or older
• Complete a pre-employment background check
• Weekend Availability
• Current food workers card (where applicable) once employed
• Must be able to regularly lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers with a smile and help them to locate various produce items.
• Assist customers by answering questions about our produce and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package various types of fresh produce. Stock and rotate fresh produce.
• Regularly check the freshness of fruits and vegetables on display. Ensure all produce is fresh.
• Remove produce items that do not meet our quality standards and/or show signs of spoilage.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist to ensure the produce display area is always well-stocked.
• Keep up to date with present, future, seasonal and special ads in the produce department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
