Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a customer-focused associate to deliver outstanding service and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will support the department manager in achieving sales goals and ensure accurate pricing, labeling, and stock of produce and related items.

The role emphasizes helping customers, promoting brands, and maintaining quality standards while complying with safety procedures. Evening/ weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Inform customers of produce specials.
• Recommend items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise.
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take action accordingly.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and logs kept.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and report issues.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report safety risks or issues, including theft or fraud, to store management.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
