Job summary

• Inform customers of produce specials
• Recommend items to ensure customers get what they want
• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take action
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager
• Display a positive attitude
• Stay current with ads
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain logs
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment
