Position: Produce Clerk

Status: Full Time/Benefits

Overview:

The produce clerk assists the Produce Manager in planning, directing, and controlling the operation of the produce department to manage production, inventory, quality, freshness, merchandising, losses, gross profit, net profit, and hours of work. They support in ordering products to fill the department, align with sales plans, maximize sales, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Job Requirements:
  1. Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  2. Typically work a maximum of 10 hours per day.
  3. Possess good interpersonal skills, be mature, and demonstrate leadership qualities.
  4. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math operations.
  5. Develop and enforce company policies and procedures.
  6. Be a self-starter.
  7. Travel to and from work as required.
  8. Give verbal and written instructions.
  9. Operate all store equipment safely.
  10. Provide verbal and written directions to employees.
  11. Assist with supervising, recruiting, and training staff.
  12. Conduct meetings to communicate business results and direction.
  13. Operate telephones and intercoms effectively.
