Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitor all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities

• Model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist, and appreciate our Customers
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers
• Foster trust and respect among associates
• Create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued by answering questions about products and store services
• Maintain knowledge of products within the department and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions
• Assist with preparing produce platters/trays
• Inform customers of produce specials
• Recommend products to ensure customer satisfaction
• Properly prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
• Inspect products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate action as needed
• Label, stock, and manage inventory of department merchandise
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping to the department manager
• Maintain a positive attitude
• Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and ads
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs accordingly
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs needed
• Report customer or employee accidents and safety risks to management
• Report illegal activities such as theft or fraud
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment
• Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek assistance when resolving issues
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults

Qualifications
