Job summary

Piggly Wiggly Food/Fresh For Less and Affiliated Companies is seeking a part-time Produce Associate at our Montgomery location. You will receive, unload, stock, and rotate fresh produce while delivering excellent customer service in a busy retail setting.

Requirements include being 18+, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and strong English communication. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

• Receive and unload produce deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to include stocking, cleaning, etc.

Job Summary

Produce associates are responsible for receiving, unloading, stocking, and rotating fresh and prepared produce stock, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and providing excellent customer service to all patrons.

Duties Include

• Provide continuous attention to customer needs; greet, assist and thank customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
• Offer product suggestions when appropriate.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control; restock and use supply items efficiently to eliminate waste and to maintain the lowest supply cost.
• Operate department equipment and tools in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues and notify store management.
• Notify management of team member theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark-downs, property defacement or any action that is illegal and/or against company policy.
• Receive and unload produce deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notifying appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Understand the company’s checkout/purchasing procedures to include how customers and staff pay for items in the store.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to include maintaining a clean and orderly work area.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned to include stocking, cleaning, etc.
