Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Produce Department team member in Augusta, GA. You will provide quality customer service, help with unloading deliveries, stocking, and merchandising of Produce items while adhering to safety and company guidelines.

You will follow standard practices, operate inventory tools, and participate in training to maintain a safe, efficient and welcoming shopping environment for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience in the Produce Department.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise follows policies and guidelines.
• Unload trucks for the Produce Department.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
• Maintain adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures; observe and correct unsafe conditions.
• Report accidents per Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Comply with all local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge when on duty.
• Complete Computer Based Training (CBT) and Training materials.
