Job summary

Weis Markets in La Plata, MD is seeking a part-time associate for the produce department. You will greet customers, stock the produce area, and help maintain fresh, well‑displayed items.

Responsibilities include sanitizing work areas, pricing, and supporting deli and other departments as needed. Training provided; PPE supplied. Minimum 15.00 per hour, up to 22.00. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED. No prior experience required.
• Commitment to customer service and safety standards is expected.

Responsibilities

• Keeps produce department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demands.
• Unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, cleans and trims produce, stocks area with new merchandise and ensures proper pricing.
• Assists in building displays and logs product information.
• Maintains sanitation, follows health and OSHA guidelines, and disposes of trash properly.
• Reports shortages and overages to manager to minimize shrink.
• Assists with receiving, unloading, checking-in and storing deliveries when trained.
• Cooperates with coworkers to ensure smooth department operation and PPE usage.
• May assist other departments as needed.
