Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Produce Clerk to keep the Produce Department stocked, clean, and welcoming. You will assist customers, check product quality, and help with pricing and promotions. A high school diploma and prior grocery experience are preferred.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting items, and operating basic department equipment. This position offers weekly pay and opportunity for growth within a community-driven grocery retailer.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Produce Department clean, stocked, and safe; rotate products and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Assist customers with purchases, information, and product selection.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment and quality.
• Monitor signs and promotional materials in the department.
• Operate basic equipment like knives, scales, wrappers, and hand trucks.
• Participate in pre-inventory prep and support the fruit/vegetable cut program.
• Contribute to department sales and profitability.
