As a part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be in the front-lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. Responsibilities
  • Maintaining a positive attitude by smiling, greeting and thanking members
  • Providing exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area
  • Receiving and stocking merchandise in an organized manner
  • Maintaining inventory so that there is no out-of-stock or over-stock products
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and educating other associates on tools, tasks, and resources
  • Tracking goods, maintaining in-stock levels, and controlling shrinkage in a timely manner
  • Understanding quality specifications related to various types of produce (taste, preparation method or use, seasonality) and preparing products according to established standards
  • Maintaining product safety and following sanitation guidelines; adhering to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality
  • Using digital tools and handheld technology to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and support decision-making related to production, training, and product quality
  • Stocking and rotating department products using perpetual inventory techniques; ensuring date control standards and reducing waste
  • Providing high-quality service and demonstrating energy, commitment, and passion for the work
  • Complying with company policies, procedures, and ethics; applying the Open Door Policy in daily work
What you’ll do as part of the team
  • Be a Team Member: maintain up-to-date knowledge of products; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates; be flexible to work in other areas as needed
  • Be an Expert: understand quality processes and specifications for produce; prepare products per standards; ensure product safety and sanitation
  • Be a Techie: leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology for timely decisions
  • Be an Owner: drive area performance; manage inventory; ensure quality and date control; reduce waste; assist customers per company policies
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: model high-quality service and product standards; demonstrate energy and passion for the work
