Job summary

North State Grocery in Redding, CA is hiring a produce/stock associate to provide world-famous friendly customer service and support to customers, team members and outside vendors. You will handle merchandising, stocking, rotation, and posting new product on display.

The role involves lifting up to 45 pounds, standing for long periods, and following department policies. Opportunities for growth, benefits, and a supportive work culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.

• Read case labels and shelf tags for correct stock.
• Lift heavy objects up to 45 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Store, rotate and break loads down to proper areas; cooler or backroom.
• Transport product to sales floor for filling.
• Cull quality or out of code product and rotate new product onto display.
• Trim and crisp lettuce, celery, and other wet perishable products.
• Observe policies and procedures for the department.
• Continuing education on product identification and handling.
• Assist with training department new team members.
• Keep work area clean and follow cleaning schedule.
• Follow productivity guidelines set by the Produce Manager.
• Abide by all company policies in the employee handbook.

Essential Job Functions
