Job summary

Lumentum International (Thailand) is seeking a Production Tech 3 in San Jose, CA to perform a variety of manufacturing and production duties while upholding safety and efficiency. You will operate equipment, monitor processes, and conduct quality checks to ensure specifications are met.

You will document data, participate in preventive maintenance, and collaborate with engineering to optimize processes. Strong reading of schematics and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years in manufacturing or production, preferably high tech/optical.
• Ability to operate complex manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret technical documents and work instructions.
• Proficient with basic computer applications for data entry and monitoring.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment per procedures and safety rules.
• Perform in-process quality inspections, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Document production data including material usage, output, and QC results.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and assist with calibration/repairs.
• Follow safety protocols, quality standards, and cleanroom procedures.

The Prod Tech 3 will perform a variety of manufacturing and production duties, including operating equipment, monitoring processes, and conducting quality checks to ensure products meet specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of production procedures and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor production equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Perform in-process quality inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve production issues.
• Document production data accurately, including material usage, output, and quality control results.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and assist with equipment calibration and repairs as needed.
• Adhere to all company safety protocols, quality standards, and cleanroom procedures.
• Collaborate with engineering and other production teams to optimize processes and resolve technical problems.
• Assist in training less experienced production technicians.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in a high-tech or optical industry.
• Demonstrated ability to operate complex manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and work instructions.
• Proficiency in using basic computer applications for data entry and process monitoring.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Pay Range:

N30-USA-1 :$25.55 - $31.95 Disclaimer:
